Brown Sugar & Balsamic Glazed Grilled Chicken Recipe
There's nothing better than a crispy, sweet & salty chicken grilled to perfection - wait, there is.... make it a crispy, sweet & salty chicken grilled to perfection at your....campsite! There, much better. This marinade will have you coming back for more and the kids loved it - I mixed chicken legs and strips for my recipe, but this can be used on any pork or chicken cuts.
This recipe is very easy, I mix everything together in a baggie and marinate it over night. A minimum of 4 hours is recommended, but the longer the better. Although I grilled the meat with this recipe, you could also bake it or put in an Instant Pot if you prefer. I just love the char that comes from the sugars cooking over the grill!
- Any cut of chicken or pork ( I used chicken legs and strips)
1 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Mix all of the ingredients in a bag (or container) and make sure it is thoroughly "massaged" together, no lumps or sugar bumps. Place your meat in the bag and mix well. Refrigerate as long as possible (overnight is best). You can continually baste your chicken as you grill it to add extra flavor, I didn't and it was just as delicious! Serve with some other flavorful grilled sides (I did potatoes, corn, and cucumber slices for my girls).
And, that's it! I hope you enjoy this dish and can use it to impress your family and friends ~
